Celebrating Eco-Schools

Bryson Energy recently attended the Eco-Schools Celebration day at the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, Oxford Island.

The event was organised and delivered by the Mid Ulster Council on Wednesday 29th March 2017 and with eighteen different organisations in attendance, local visiting schools had much to take in!

The objective of the day was simply to celebrate the wonderful work that local schools and young people have been involved in as part of their Eco-School awards.

Twelve schools from across the Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Council area also showcased their Eco-schools projects. Over twenty more local schools attended on the day to see this work and come into contact with the variety of displays and resources from a range of support organisations covering all the Eco School’s Topics.

As a delivery partner to Eco Schools, Bryson Energy is always happy to help schools take steps in fulfilling their energy objective within the programme which is managed by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. On the day, the education advisor spoke with many pupils and teachers who availed of the Bryson Energy “Top Tips” and resources as well as receiving information on how they can arrange dates for energy workshops in their own schools and classrooms.
